Riverwood Pewter

Since 1930, the Morgan family has kept the craft of hand-hammered pewter alive in the mountains of North Carolina. With a modest beginning at the Penland School of Crafts, Riverwood Pewter has grown in numbers of products, but has not changed its original methods of creating pewter pieces individually by hand. From hammering in molds, to scribing and sawing, to buffing and polishing — each piece is worked by only three craftsmen in the Riverwood workshop.
