| | | North Carolina abstract artist Pat Rendleman catapulted to stardom following her role in the Independent film Sherman’s March in the 1980s. A graduate of Catawba College, she studied at Penland where she was awarded a C.E.T.A. Grant from the North Carolina Arts Council and at the Art Student’s League of New York. It was at the International School of Art in Umbria, Italy, where her style matured, however, under the tutelege of Knox Martin, her mentor. Her work has been exhibited widely in galleries throughout the United States and abroad. |
