| | | | Alabama native Don Moore taught at Mitchell Community College in Statesville, North Carolina, for thirty years before retiring to Salisbury in 2005. Since then, he has been a full-time painter who has exhibited his work widely. Moore got his master of fine arts degree in 1968 at the University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa. Working in oils and oil pastels, his subjects range from elegant, classical nudes to dreamlike, ethereal Old World cafe scenes. In fact, Moore draws upon his own dreams, travels, and family history to create his other-worldly canvasses. | |
